Our 2024 Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships offer funding awards to international students across a variety of postgraduate taught programmes.

Cardiff University (Welsh: Prifysgol Caerdydd) is a public research university located in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. Founded in 1883 as the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire, it became one of the founding colleges of the University of Wales in 1893, and in 1997 received (but held in abeyance) its own degree-awarding powers. It adapted the public name of Cardiff University in 1999, and in 2005 this became its legal name as it left the University of Wales to become an independent University awarding its own degrees. It is the third oldest university institution in Wales

Aim and Benefits of Cardiff University Undegraduate

Awards between £3,500 – £10,000 will be awarded to eligible postgraduate taught students and will be offered in the form of a tuition fee discount.

 

Requirements for Cardiff University Undegraduate Qualification

You will automatically be awarded the appropriate funding as long as you meet our eligibility criteria as set out in the terms and conditions.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • the University by 31 July 2024
  • Accepting your offer and paying any applicable deposit by 30 June 2024 unless your deposit deadline is after this date, in which case, your deposit must be paid by your initial deposit deadline and your offer accepted within 14 days of it being made.
  • Holding an offer for an eligible postgraduate taught course
  • Meeting the conditions of your offer (if applicable) by 20 August 2024

How to Apply

International applicants from eligible countries who accept an offer for selected postgraduate programmes and pay any required deposit by the date specified on their offer letter will automatically be considered for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship.

To be awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship you must meet, or exceed, the conditions of your offer by 20 August 2024. This includes any English language requirements.

Eligible applicants initially awarded unconditional offers will automatically be granted the scholarship.

This is subject to meeting the criteria and deposit deadlines as set out in the terms and conditions.
